The 2nd day of San Diego is all about Old Town San Diego, Art Village at Bolboa Park and Bolboa Park itself.
The Old Town is full of Mexican restaurants with elaborate cultural designs that reminded me of flowers, food, wine, and tacos. The color scheme is earth tone for sure. Old Town San Diego covers three streets; Juan Street, San Diego Avenue, and Congress Street. Within this area, there are souvenir shops of greeting cards, spicy sauce, soaps, post cards, ice cream, watches, clocks, ghost house museum, stable, gift shops, and again, lots of restaurants.
There is a trolley service that actually starts from Old Town San Diego and covers major attractions in San Diego. For example, Boalboa Park, Seaworld, Coronado Island, Hotel Del Coronado, US Midway Museum, Seaport Village, etc.
I'm looking at today's trip as a nice way of looking at how art and life are being intertwined and interpreted in San Diego. For sure, San Diego has a lot more casual mood going on than in Los Angelos.
